Six more people have been arrested in connection with a murder investigation after a 22-year-old man died following a stabbing in Walsall.
The incident took place in Bloxwich Road at around 5.15pm on Monday (March 17) with a 22-year-old man suffering stab wounds and taken to hospital but died shortly before midnight.
A 52-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of murder.
And now five more men have been arrested on suspicion of murder, two aged 21, two aged 33 and one aged 38.

All six men arrested on suspicion of murder remain in police custody.
A 22-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in custody.
West Midlands Police said it is continuing to offer support to the family of the man who died and said ‘we are keeping them updated on the investigation’.
Detective Inspector Joe Davenport, from the Homicide Unit, said: “This is a fast-moving investigation and we are confident it is moving in the right direction.
“We want to ensure the full circumstances are understood and would ask that anyone who can assist and is yet to speak with us gets in contact.”

Earlier, DI Davenport said: “I’d urge anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam, doorbell, or other footage from the area to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

While Walsall Local Policing Area’s commander Chief Superintendent Phil Dolby had said: “”I understand that Monday night’s incident has left the community shocked and worried and I totally understand their concerns.
“Our immediate thoughts are with the family of the man who has died and we are supporting them as best as we can.
“Over the coming days you will see more officers and I would encourage you to go and have a chat to them and raise any issues you have.
“Keep talking to us and we will make sure we listen to your concerns.”
