James Haskell and Sara McLean have reportedly called time on their romance just two days after going public with their relationship as the loved-up pair were snapped holding hands

I’m a Celebrity’s James Haskell and his recent girlfriend Sara McLean have reportedly parted ways just two days after confirming their relationship.

The pair were spotted together at the Cheltenham Festival on March 12, but it seems their relationship has hit a bump due to photos of them holding hands, which unsettled the England rugby union star.

“James isn’t really in the settling-down stage just yet. He wasn’t really ready to go public with Sara, to be honest,” an insider revealed about the cause of their split.

They further explained that as the drinks flowed, the ex-couple became more affectionate, and James was not pleased when they were photographed hand-in-hand at the racecourse.

This led to a reported “lover’s tiff”, resulting in them no longer being an item.

The source also suggested that James, who is going through a difficult divorce, has attracted attention from other women who were equally displeased with the images of him sharing an intimate moment with Big Brother star Sara.

“James is going through a tough divorce, so has been enjoying the best of London’s dating scene. He’s not necessarily ready to commit again to something serious straight away,” they said.

Despite their disagreement, the insider noted that Sara and James are still in frequent contact and praised their “real chemistry”, cryptically telling The Sun: “They may well be back on again by next week.”

Before his relationship with Sara, James was previously married to Chloe Madeley, the daughter of Richard and Judy.

The ex-couple got hitched in 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Bodhi, in 2022 before parting ways in 2023.

Prior to Sara, James was reportedly involved with advertising executive Helen Barclay, 34. As of January, it was reported that their relationship had become more serious after initially meeting over a year ago.

Rumours suggested that the couple were spending an increasing amount of time together, often at each other’s homes. James and Helen were seen at the Knightsbridge restaurant Clap on a romantic date night, with the rugby star seemingly hinting at their relationship by commenting on Helen’s Instagram posts, even calling her “fit” as his online flirtations became bolder.

At the time, it was reported that Chloe was grappling with mixed feelings about James’ new dating life. “She was a bit shocked at first that James had moved on so quickly,” a source revealed.

They added: “She doesn’t want to be with James or to go back at all, she is over it, but it was a bit of a kick in the teeth for Chloe to see them together at first.”
