The teenage victim remained in hospital on Sunday after the ‘really serious stabbing’ on Friday night
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after a schoolboy was stabbed near a Birmingham park.
A 21-year-old suspect was taken into custody from a vehicle on Monk Road just before 4pm on Saturday afternoon, March 8.
He remained in police custody for questioning today as the victim continues to receive treatment in hospital.

The 15-year-old stab victim was attacked near to Morris Park, which was cordoned off by police all weekend.
Paramedics were called to Alum Rock Road where it meets College Road on Friday night just before 8.45pm.
The victim was said to be in a critical, but stable condition on Saturday, but police have since confirmed his injuries are “not believed to be life-threatening.”
In the latest statement from the force, a spokesperson said: “Our Major Crime Unit arrested a 21-year-old suspect from a vehicle on Monk Road just before 4pm yesterday, and he remains in custody today.
“We are continuing to urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has mobile phone, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch.
“We have been speaking to people in the community to listen to their concerns, and have had extra officers in the area to offer reassurance.
