Revolut – which has 10million UK customers – is rolling out a new pricing structure meaning those on certain plans will pay less to make transactions on weekends.
A popular bank is making a change to fees in time for summer and holidaymakers will be delighted. Revolut – which has 10million UK customers – is rolling out a new pricing structure meaning those on certain plans will pay less to make transactions on weekends.
Currently, customers on all five plans are charged an additional fee of 1% on weekend days if they want to make any transactions on a Saturday or Sunday. However, from April 22, those on paid plans will pay a smaller percentage or no extra fees at all.
Those on standard plans will continue paying 1% of the amount of cash they’re exchanging while Plus customers will pay 0.5%. Premium, Metal and Ultra customers will have to pay no additional weekend fees.

A spokesperson for Revolut said: “The removal of weekend currency exchange fees for our Premium, Metal and Ultra customers – and reduction for Plus customers – is the latest in a long string of benefits for those who love to travel.”
It comes after Revolut announced expansion of its services to Ukrainians along with a new international donation campaign for Ukraine which features a special edition Clear Sky card.
Starting today, Ukrainian residents will be able to seamlessly open a European Revolut account and experience an array of innovative products like sending instant, fee-free P2P transfers to each other. Revolut’s account will offer Ukrainian customers foreign exchange and remittance capabilities in 30+ currencies, including competitive exchange rates when spending with card or sending money abroad and borderless money transfers worldwide, free between Revolut customers.
This means that Ukrainian residents can now send and receive money from their friends and family abroad without worrying about expensive transfer fees. Ukrainian customers will also be able to order virtual and physical debit cards. To ensure a secure onboarding process for Ukrainian users, Revolut has partnered with Diia, Ukraine’s award-winning e-government platform.
