ITV viewers are convinced they have spotted the celebrity behind the Wolf costume on The Masked Singer
Fans of The Masked Singer are all aflutter with theories that the celeb in the Wolf getup could be Hugh Grant himself.
With belters including David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’ and Sammy Davis Jr.’s ‘The Candy Man’, the enigmatic Wolf has impressed audiences far and wide.
Hints like being a “lone wolf,” a sprawling career full of team-ups, alongside visual gags like bright brollies and maps of Egypt have whipped up chatter that it’s none other than the UK’s charming star, known for his role in the fresh Bridget Jones flick.
Not to mention, Hugh’s crooning chops were on display in ‘Music and Lyrics’ with Drew Barrymore.

A keen fan took to X, once known as Twitter, to post: “Wolf Hugh Grant maybe.”
A sentiment mirrored by another who chipped in with: “Wolf – Hugh Grant.”, reports the Mirror.
But the guessing game is far from over, with names like David Essex, Richard E. Grant, Tony Hadley, David Tennant, Mike Skinner, Hugh Jackman, Donny Osmond, Nigel Havers, or Marti Pellow also tossed into the rumour mill.
As The Masked Singer barrels on, fans can hardly wait for that mask to come off and reveal if it’s truly Hugh.
Meanwhile, rom-com titan Hugh Grant couldn’t help but sing praises for Hollywood’s Renée Zellweger, his Bridget Jones co-conspirator, in a recent chinwag.
The pair first teamed up with Colin Firth in ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’, shot in 2000 and gracing screens in 2001.
Known for a somewhat detached demeanor, Hugh shelved his reputedly gruff exterior to heap compliments on the American actress.
“I love Renée. She’s one of the few actresses I haven’t fallen out with,” Hugh candidly shared during his stint on The Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM.
He went on to describe how their bond extends beyond their professional collaboration, and they make a point of staying in touch despite their hectic schedules.
“We still exchange long emails, her’s in particular, at least 70 pages each, interesting stuff, but quite hard to decipher and, she’s a properly good egg and a genius,” he quipped, before praising: “Did you see her Judy Garland? About as good as acting gets.”
Hugh portrayed Daniel Cleaver in the first two Bridget Jones films, but was notably absent from the third instalment, 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby.
The film explained his character’s absence by shockingly revealing that he’d perished in a plane crash, but there was a final twist.
A newspaper headline at the end of the movie announced that Daniel Cleaver had been found alive, leaving room for his potential return in a future film.
Now, it’s been confirmed that Hugh will reprise his role as Daniel in the film, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
