Cait Fitton has played feisty teenager Lauren Bolton in the ITV soap since 2022
Coronation Street fans were stunned to discover that a familiar face once auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent – and made to the final.
Cait Fitton has played feisty teenager Lauren Bolton in the ITV soap since 2022, and has been at the centre of several major storylines.
She was introduced onto the cobbles as the daughter of far-right extremist Reece Bolton, and was feared dead after being attacked by abuser Joel Deerin.

Recently viewers have seen Lauren give birth to Joel’s baby, and face trial for Joel’s murder.
But before she made her debut on the Corrie cobbles, Cait appeared on another prime-time ITV show, Britain’s Got Talent.
She auditioned in 2020 with the sign-language choir Sign Along With Us, LancsLive reports.

The group performed a heartwarming rendition of This Is Me, from The Greatest Showman soundtrack, and impressed then-judge David Walliams so much, he pressed the golden buzzer.
In the final, the group were pipped to the post by comedic pianist and singer Jon Courtenay.
Soap fans were floored when they came across a TikTok video of Cait’s BGT audition.
One took to the comments section to say: “Omg I didn’t realise that was her!”
Another said: “The way I’ve watched their audition 100’s of times and never realised Cait was in the group, she’s so incredibly talented!”
A third chimed in: “No way I had no clue it was her now I can see it.”
A fourth wrote: “No way! I would never have guessed that was her!!”
