Parts of England and Scotland are set for snowfall later this week as the temperature drops to freezing conditions
Weather forecasters have revealed that parts of the UK could be set for snowfall with temperatures dropping to -3C. Two regions of the UK are set for a dusting of snow that’s forecasted to arrive later this week.
WX Charts reveals snow arriving in the southwest of Scotland early on Sunday morning, with up to 2.13cm (0.8in) of snow an hour. By 3pm, the snow band out snow is set to expand southwards, covering parts of the northwest and northeast of England, according to wxcharts.com.
However these regions are set to experience only a powdering of snow compared to Scotland. By 6pm, the snow is set to move northwards before disappearing.

It comes as freezing temperatures have been predicted for large parts of England, Wales and Scotland throughout this week and heading into the next. On Friday (February 14), parts of the Midlands could experience temperatures of -1C, while northern England and Wales could experience -2C and Scotland -3C.
For its forecast from Friday until Sunday, the Met Office said: “Remaining often cloudy with patchy rain and hill snow at times. An increasing risk of some heavier rain in the far west on Friday. A cold easterly breeze continuing.”
