Large parts of England are set to escape snow this week but conditions will still be freezing, with the thermometer forecasted to fall below 0C
Eight regions of England are set to be sparred snow when conditions turn wintry later this week. Snow is set to descend over parts of England and Scotland on Sunday (February 16).
The northwest and northeast of England are set for a powdering when snow arrives at 3pm on Sunday, WX Charts maps show. Scotland will also see snow in the southwest.
However the rest of England will escape any snow, according to wxcharts.com. But temperatures are set to dip below freezing across large parts of England, Scotland and Wales this week.

Weather maps from WX Charts show freezing temperatures throughout Thursday tomorrow (February 13), falling to 0C and dipping to -1C at times in the day. Icy cold temperatures are set to continue on Friday (February 14), dipping to -1C and -2C at times in the day, while northern Scotland could experience -3C.
In its Thursday outlook, the Met Office said: “Rather cloudy and cold again with patchy rain and hill snow in the northeast. Best of any brightness in the northwest. Cloudier in the far southwest with rain arriving later.”

While looking ahead from Friday to Sunday, the forecaster added: “Remaining often cloudy with patchy rain and hill snow at times. An increasing risk of some heavier rain in the far west on Friday. A cold easterly breeze continuing.”
