Probe over Peacocks thefts as police issue picture of man officers want to trace

West Midlands Police officers are probing a series of shop thefts in Birmingham.

The force issued a picture of a man officers want to trace.

It comes after thefts from clothes store Peacocks on Warwick Road in Acocks Green.

Police said there were a number of thefts between last November and last month.

No arrests have been made.

Police inquiries are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Taking to Facebook, Birmingham Police posted today, Wednesday, February 12: “Appeal: Recognise this man?

“We’re looking to speak to him in connection with a series of shop thefts in Birmingham.

“On a number of occasions between November 2024 and January 2025, a man has stolen goods from Peacocks on Warwick Road.

“As part of our investigation, we’re asking the public for any information which could help in our ongoing enquiries.

“If you think you recognise him, contact us via 101 or Live Chat quoting crime number 20/119155/25.”
