England could be given its first taste of summer in a matter of weeks.

Weather forecasters are predicting that temperatures could rise well into the teens later this month.

March is the last month of winter and it also marks the start of spring.

Unsurprisingly, there’s been some cold weather this month.

However those fed-up of the wintry conditions could be in for a treat with conditions turning warmer.

According to WX Charts, the country could experience a mini glimpse of summer on Wednesday, March 26.

Temperatures are set to range between 15C and 16C across large areas of the Midlands, including Birmingham.

However some coastal areas, namely Merseyside and Kent, could see the mercury rise as high as 17C, alongside Surrey.

With average summer temperatures in the UK ranging from 15C to 25C, it means England could experience conditions we normally see in the warmer months.

However temperatures are set to turn colder heading into the weekend and the following week, where snow has been forecast for seven counties, according to wxcharts.com.

In its long range weather forecast from March 22 to March 31, the Met Office said: “The first weekend of this period is likely to be more unsettled than it has been of late.

“Wetter weather will probably continue to spread to all areas from the west or southwest, at least for a time, with some heavy rain possible, and this could be accompanied by strong winds at times.

“Into the following week, unsettled conditions will probably continue across many parts of the UK, though things could quieten down around midweek, at least temporarily.

“Temperatures are likely to be widely above average at the start of this period, and it will feel warm in any sunshine, before probably falling back and then fluctuating around average for the remainder rest of March.”
