Vanessa Feltz is saying goodbye to her role on the show after 33 years

After an incredible 33 years, Vanessa Feltz has confirmed her departure from This Morning.

The beloved 63 year old broadcaster, who first joined the ITV programme back in 1992, revealed she had a brand new show of her own coming to Channel 5.

It means she can’t commit her time to the ITV show any longer.

Announcing her departure to the Daily Star, Vanessa said: “I’ve been on This Morning since 1992.

“It’s been a long time.”

She explained the reason for her departure: “But I’m now doing my own show and I can’t do both.”

Vanessa expressed how supportive her colleagues have been about her decision, revealing: “When I told everyone I wouldn’t be able to do the show anymore, they were lovely about it.

“I heard from Alison Hammond and Holly Willoughby immediately and the bosses were charming.”

The seasoned presenter is set to concentrate on her new daytime show titled Vanessa, which will start airing on Channel 5 come March 24.

Commenting on her new venture, Vanessa stated: “This is a fantastic opportunity and I couldn’t be more excited. It feels marvellous.”

Previously, when her show Vanessa was first announced, Feltz couldn’t contain her enthusiasm, expressing: “I cannot wait to get started on this sparkling adventure with Channel 5. This show is all about YOU – your stories, your opinions, your emotions, and your triumphs. Television’s never been so real, honest, or unpredictable.”

Continuing with her statement, she invited viewers to be part of her show’s journey: “Life isn’t perfect, so let’s not pretend it is – let’s help each other out, have a giggle, and make every show a conversation worth having so kick off your shoes and come and join me for lunch, relax with a bit of me time and let’s have a ball!”.

The show will see Vanessa engaging in frank discussions on topics like relationships, parenting, gossip, and fashion.
