A man was arrested on suspicion of terror offences after police raided a property in Birmingham today, Wednesday, March 12.
The 47-year-old was held after officers struck in Alum Rock following a pre-planned and intelligence-led operation.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of supporting a proscribed organisation, breaching his notification requirements following imprisonment for a terrorism offence and breaching a serious crime prevention order.

He was being questioned at a police station in the West Midlands.
West Midlands Police said officers were continuing to search the property.

The investigation remained ongoing.
In a statement, police said: “Police have today arrested a 47-year-old man from Birmingham on suspicion of terrorism offences.
“The man was detained from an address in Alum Rock today following a pre-planned and intelligence-led operation.
“He was arrested on suspicion of supporting a proscribed organisation, breaching his notification requirements following imprisonment for a terrorism offence and breaching a serious crime prevention order.
“He has been taken to a police station in the West Midlands to be questioned.
“Detectives are continuing to search the property.”
