A stranger danger has been issued to Birmingham parents after a man – who was allegedly wearing a lanyard which said ‘staff’ – was spotted acting suspiciously outside an academy.
It was claimed the man was first seen behaving strangely outside Four Dwellings Primary after school finished on Monday (March 10).
He was spotted again this morning (March 11) outside Four Dwellings Academy, prompting an alert.
He was said to have been wearing a lanyard, according to a letter released by the school, seen by BirminghamLive.
Principal Claire Stoneman sent a letter to families on Tuesday morning informing them of the reported incidents and of an extra police presence this afternoon.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police said: “We are investigating a report of suspicious behaviour near a school in Quinton.
“Officers are carrying out further enquiries to establish whether an offence has occurred.
“We will have officers in the area today to provide reassurance.”
The school letter read: “I want to make you aware that a man has been seen acting suspiciously outside Four Dwellings Primary at the end of the school day yesterday and this morning, who then came to Four Dwellings Secondary earlier this morning but left shortly afterwards.”
The school letter went on to say he was wearing a lanyard.
The school added: “Please note that he is not a member of staff at our school or at Four Dwellings Primary.
“He has been reported to police, who are taking the matter seriously.
“You may notice a police presence today as a precaution.”
The letter urged anyone who spots any suspicious behaviour to contact staff or the police.
Four Dwellings Academy has been contacted for a comment.
