Public urged ‘call 999’ as schoolgirl goes missing from West Midlands

Police have urged members of the public to dial 999 after a schoolgirl went missing three days ago.

Ruby, who is aged 14, has not been seen since the afternoon of Wednesday, March 5.

West Midlands Police said the teen went missing from the West Midlands area at around 3.15pm.

She was wearing black leggings, a black puffer coat with fur and a white logo when she was last seen several days before.

The force issued an image of Ruby as they urgently appealed for information on Friday evening, March 7.

They asked for anyone who sees the teenager to “call 999”, quoting log number specific to her case.

The appeal, which was posted to social media at around 7.30pm, read: “#MISSING | Have you seen Ruby, aged 14, who’s missing from the West Midlands?

“Ruby was last seen on 05/03/2025 at 15:15, wearing black leggings, black puffer coat with fur and white logo. Call 999 if you see Ruby, quoting log 3384-050325.”
