Police share key detail after BMW goes missing in ‘desired’ village


Police have revealed the colour and registration of the stolen BMW

Police are appealing for eyewitnesses after a BMW was stolen from the driveway of a home in the West Midlands.

Thieves stolen the BMW 320D M Sport from a property on Ounsdale Road in Wombourne, near Wolverhampton.

Officers have revealed that the car is painted in gun metal grey and it was displaying a registration plate of L*** RUW.

The theft took place around 11pm on Friday, March 8.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “At approximately 11pm unknown offenders have approached a property on Ounsdale Road, Wombourne.

“They have gained entry to a BMW 320 D M Sport in Gun Metal Grey parked on the driveway.

“Offenders have then stolen the vehicle. At the time of the theft, the BMW was displaying registration ‘L*** RUW’.”

Wombourne is located in South Staffordshire, near Wolverhampton.

In 2022, the village was named after the five most ‘sought after’ residential locations in the country.

The spokesperson added: “Did you see anyone suspicious in the area at the time of the offence?

“We’d be grateful to hear from you if saw or heard anything, or if you have CCTV cameras at your property that may have captured the incident, or the moments leading up to or after the incident.
