Key questions remain over the discovery of remains on March 4
Detectives continue to hunt for clues after human remains were found in woodland in Staffordshire.
The skeletal remains were found by a member of the public on land near Morrisons in Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent, at around 3.40pm on March 2.
Four days on from the shock discovery, police continue searching the wooded area for clues to the identity of the deceased. The discovery is being treated as an unexplained death, our sister title Stoke-on-Trent Live reported.

Further details on how long the skeleton had been at the site and the age and sex of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.
Staffordshire Police put up a cordon put up blocking a footpath outside the supermarket and several blue tents were set up.
Forensics officers in white suits have been going in and out of a large blue tent at the scene.
Staffordshire Police said on March 4: “A number of officers are still working at a cordon in Festival Park in Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent today (Tuesday 4 March) after the remains of a human skeleton were discovered.
“We’ve been there since we were called at 3.40pm on Sunday (2 March) when someone came across the skeleton in the area.
“Detectives and forensic teams, including an anthropologist, a botanist and an archaeologist, have been carrying out a thorough inspection of the scene since the cordon was put in place.”
Adding: “Our investigation is ongoing and we’re working hard to progress a number of enquiries to help us identify the remains and how they ended up there.
