Midlands pervert hollowed out shower gel bottle to film girls with hidden camera

Jordan Gibson also had a menacing paedophile manual’

General view of Nottingham Crown Court

A pervert hollowed out an empty shower bottle so he could secretly film underage girls.

Jordan Gibson’s sick crimes came to light when an electrician rewired his home.

They discovered a ‘menacing paedophile manual’ hidden behind a wardrobe in the 38-year-old’s bedroom and raised the alarm with police.

The manual contained hand-written instructions to a ten-year-old girl telling her what he would like her to do in bushes for his sexual pleasure.

His jottings never reached the intended target, Nottingham Crown Court heard.

The manual also included warnings to the girl that she should not tell anyone and falsely claimed he had served time in jail for murder.

Gibson’s sentencing was adjourned until May 12, NottinghamshireLive reports.

Judge Steven Coupland told him: “[You} hollowed out this shower gel container so you could fix a camera in it and film people.

“The paedophile manual is a fairly detailed set of words implicating that [you] would like to commit sexual acts and warned her not to tell anyone about it.

“I am not persuaded it is anything other than immediate custody but I am conscious your mother has a terminal illness, so I will adjourn your sentence until May.”

The electrician was rewiring Gibson’s home in Mansfield Road, Forest Town, Mansfield.

Catherine Picardo, prosecuting, said: “It consisted of a letter to a ten-year-old girl and the contents were disturbing and graphic explaining to her how to engage in sexual activity.

“It was very graphic and menacing in part talking of how he had seen her playing and how he wanted to see her in the bushes [committing a sex act].

The defendant was arrested and during a search of his bedroom a shower gel container was found which had been hollowed out and which a phone camera could be fitted into.

“Further examination showed there were three clips on his phone [showing sexual images of two underage girls and an adult female].”

Gibson – who had no previous convictions – admitted possession of the manual and three counts of voyeurism.

Almas Ben-Aribia, defending, said Gibson’s ‘best mitigations were his guilty pleas before the lower court’ and lack of criminal convictions.

She said: “His mother had lung cancer which was treated but has now come back and is terminal.

“He is her carer, he loves his job working as a warehouse operative driving forklifts and says he could not ask for better co-workers.

“He has had spells working as a chef and as a binman and in terms of the paedophile manual, these letters were never delivered [to the intended victim].

“Plainly this is disturbing behaviour but he is showing a willingness to address it.”
