Katie Price has shared the heartbreaking news of her miscarriage after falling pregnant with boyfriend JJ Slater.

The 46-year-old glamour revealed the couple had beat all odds to get pregnant, as she had just a 1% chance of conceiving naturally.

Katie, a mum of five, has been open about her longing to have more children, starring recently in a Channel 4 documentary about her IVF journey with ex-fiancé Carl Woods.

Over the festive period, Katie conceived with her partner JJ Slater, known from Married At First Sight UK, but they received crushing news during scans when it was found they had lost their baby.

In the wake of this personal tragedy, Katie has joined forces with Tommy’s, a charity specialising in pregnancy and baby loss, to support others facing similar sorrow.

Despite only having a slim 1 percent chance of getting pregnant naturally due to being perimenopausal, Katie experienced a miracle that sadly turned to grief.

“I was just really sad because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally, to confusion, heartbreak and sadness,” she expressed.

Katie also explained that she wasn’t actively trying for a baby with JJ, given her perimenopausal status, yet on Boxing Day she realised she had missed a period – an anomaly for her.

This signpost of pregnancy was followed by nausea, moodiness, sore breasts, and bloating.

In a candid chat with The Sun, she revealed: “I did loads of pregnancy tests because I wanted to be sure, and JJ kept asking me if it was real. He was so, so excited.”

However, the model noticed that the lines on her tests were not darkening as they should have based on her past pregnancies. “I started to worry,” she admitted.

“We went to a clinic for blood tests and a scan and the scan showed where the baby was, but that it wasn’t alive any more. It’s been devastating.”

Previously, Katie has suffered three miscarriages, as well as a devastating ectopic pregnancy.
