At Stafford Crown Court on Monday, February 17, he was sentenced to 21 months in prison for fraud by false representation and 15 months for controlling and coercive behaviour.
The sentences are to run concurrently meaning he will serve 21 months in total.
Investigating officer, Pc Martin Banton, said the case was like nothing he had seen in his 21-year career.
He added: “The lengths this individual went to in order to hide his tracks and the constant intimidation of all whom he came into contact with is like nothing I have investigated for the last 21 years.
“It took us to predict his next move and put measures in place to counteract his behaviour to keep his victims safe throughout.
“We will not tolerate acts of fraud or harassment and we will look to send you to prison for your offending and we will protect victims of crime.”
