The last moments of Michael Obasi in Perry Hall Park were re-enacting by his killers
Six People Have Been Found Guilty Of Murdering A Father In Perry Hall Park
This is the moment ‘evil’ thugs re-enacted murdering a ‘devoted dad’ in a Birmingham park as they went back to their homes after spending his money.
Twisted killers Manuel Filipache, Ion Morar and Ion Calin, along with three boys, one 14 and two aged 15, preyed on Michael Obasi as he went to Perry Hall Park in Perry Barr for a walk on Thursday, March 14 last year.
Michael’s family reported him missing and a dog walker found the 38-year-old’s body in the park two days later at around 11am on Saturday, March 16,.

Michael had left his home to go on his ‘usual walk’ but was never to return.
Police launched a murder investigation and footage showed his killers had been at the One Stop Shopping Centre and headed to the park at around 7.30pm.
Film from the park showed them leaving around an hour later after they had committed the murder.

CCTV footage showed Filipache and Morar had used cards they had stolen from Michael, buying drinks on one occasion, moments after they attacked him. The card was used multiple times.
Then Filipache, Morar and Calin, were recorded in Normandy Road on the Perry Barr/Aston border, re-enacting the attack they had carried out.
They animatedly showed how they had attacked the ‘beloved partner, dad, son, brother and uncle’. The family’s full, heartbreaking tribute can be found here.

Filipache, Morar and Calin were also found to have carried out an attempted robbery and violent attack at Walsall Railway Station, two months earlier on Monday, January 15.
CCTV footage shown above and provided with the help of British Transport Police was ‘absolutely critical’ in securing the murder convictions police said.
