Krishnan Guru-Murthy was left red-faced on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire after he was flummoxed by a question on his ‘best’ subject.

The Channel 4 News presenter left the ITV show with £64,000 for his charity Duchenne UK which raises funds to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a devastating muscle-wasting disease.

But he didn’t have an easy time getting there, even struggling with a question he had hoped would come up.

Host Jeremy Clarkson had asked the news anchor what subjects he wanted to come up on the show.

Krishnan confidently replied he wanted to see questions on 90s Indie music or guitar makes.

But the very next question about 90s music saw him stumbling and asking the audience for help.

The question was: “Which of these bestselling albums features greyhound racing in its cover artwork?”

The possible answers were A) Divide by Ed Sheeran; B) Parklife by Blur; C) Parachutes by Coldplay and D) 21 by Adele.

He used his lifeline to ask the audience, and 93% confirmed it was Blur that was the correct answer.

Bemused fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to comment: “Well he wanted 90s music…#whowantstobeamillionaire.”

A second echoed: “You just said you wanted 90s Indie Music. How can you not get this?! #whowantstobeamillionaire.”

“So clearly he knows f*** all about 90s indie music,” another stunned fan commented. A fourth wrote: “Ask me one about 90s indie music but not any about best selling indie albums of the 1990s #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”

“Hopes for a question on 90’s indie music yet doesn’t know what, probably one of the top 3 selling albums of the decade looks like,” another viewer echoed.
