Startling image shows cash notes blowing in the wind after it is chucked out of a window by a crook in Oldbury

This is the astonishing image of cash blowing away in the wind after it was chucked out of a car during a police chase.

Police were pursuing the 4X4 when the driver decided to throw a wad of notes through the window.

It was caught fluttering around in the air by the officer’s car dashcam.

Officers first spotted the suspicious vehicle in Oldbury but instead of stopped, the driver decided drove off.

After ridding himself of the money, he eventually stopped and was arrested.

Officers recovered a discarded mobile and a quantity of drugs from the car.

Traffic WMP said: “Officers saw this car in Oldbury before it made off and was pursued.

“The driver threw a large amount of cash from the window during the pursuit before stopping & being arrested.

“We recovered a discarded mobile & a quantity of drugs so he was arrested for dealing.”

The incident generated some humorous comments after it was posted on social media by Traffic WMP.

Mohammed Jahanghir posted: “Any information on where this was please, I need some cash.”

Driva Can said: “Lucky pedestrians lol.”

Martin Facer posted: “How do I enter the giveaway ?”

Karen Brookhouse posted: “They are normally stealing cash not throwing it through the air, they are so stupid.”

West Midlands Police has been approached for further details and comment.
