Alesha Dixon is returning to Britain’s Got Talent tonight weeks after she reportedly split from her partner of 18 years.

It was reported in November that Alesha, 46, had parted ways with Azuka Ononye, 43, a choreographer and her former backup dancer who went on to become her creative director.

The former Mis-Teeq star shares two daughters, Azura, 10, and Anaya, four, with Azuka.

According to The Sun, a source revealed that their relationship had turned into more of a friendship.

The source told the publication: “Alesha’s been quietly telling people close to her that she believes their relationship is over and they’re going to separate.

“She and Azuka have been together nearly two decades but their relationship has evolved into more of a friendship.

“They’re dedicated parents to their two daughters, aged 11 and six, and are prioritising maintaining an amicable relationship for their children’s benefit.”

Alesha reportedly tied the knot with Azuka in a quiet and private ceremony in 2017, but the pair have never publicly acknowledged whether they married.

Alesha was previously married to So Solid Crew’s Harvey. The British rapper met the Britain’s Got Talent judge when they were 21 and the pair eventually got married at 26.

They were married for just over a year when Alesha was devastated to find out he was having an affair.

Pop star Javine Hylton and Harvey had become acquainted while performing in the West End musical Daddy Cool, and their affair was discovered when Javine’s ex Karl ‘KG’ Gordon spotted Harvey’s car outside her house and told Alesha.

Following the revelation, Harvey left their Hertfordshire home to be with Javine and they welcomed a daughter Angel in 2008 but split the following year.

In a 2022 interview on the James English podcast, Harvey opened up about the moment he had been confronted about the affair by Alesha.

“The day I left Javine’s house, it was so weird,” he said. “I’d left her house and I was driving home to my marital home and as I’m two miles from my house, she (Javine) rang me and said ‘she knows, she knows’ as I pulled up on my drive.

“When I walked in the front room, Alesha just said to me: ‘Do you want some food Harvey?’ and I’m thinking ‘Yeah of course I will.”

He said he had sat down to watch TV with Alesha, ironically tuning into an episode of the Tyra Banks Show about cheating.

“She was there watching TV when she paused it and my heart sank,” he added. “She said: ‘How long has it been going on Harvey?’ and that was it.

“I thought she was going to kill me. To this day, it is the worst two days I’ve ever spent in my house.”

He continued: “It came out in the papers and everyone hated me. I was a love rat. My mental health was like ‘oh my god.

“I went from being in a celebrity relationship and being loved to being hated within 48 hours. But it was self-inflicted.”

.During an appearance on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, Alesha confessed she felt ‘lost and empty’ when her marriage to Harvey fell apart.

She revealed: “I didn’t eat for a few days. I just remember sitting on the floor in my house.

“I felt lost, I couldn’t find the words. You ask yourself those questions: Why? What have I done wrong?”

Britain’s Got Talent airs at 7pm on ITV on Saturday, February 22.
