The family of a man who died in a hit-and-run collision said their “world has been turned upside down.”
Wynford “Willie” Griffiths, 71, was hit by a car which left the scene, at the junction of Audley Road and Flaxley Road, just outside Stechford Retail Park, just after 9pm on February 9.
Mr Griffiths’ heartbroken family issued the first image of him and a loving tribute.

His family today said: “Our beautiful brother, uncle and great uncle has been taken away from us in such an awful way.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and might have camera footage to please contact the police.

“If you are the person who did this, please do the decent thing and hand yourself in to the police.
“Our world has been turned upside down with what you have done to our family.”
Det Sgt Paul Hughes said: “We want anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision to come forward and give us any footage or images you might have.
“We are also directly appealing to the driver of the car to do the right thing and take responsibility for your actions.
“If you think you know who was responsible, get in touch with us and share whatever information you have.”
