Willow in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, has made a tasty offer to new customers – with a free breakfast deal, but the number has been limited
A new restaurant in Sutton Coldfield is offering free meals to a slew of the first customers through its doors but diners will have to get in quick.
Willow in Mere Green is styled as an all-day venue offering Mediterranean cuisine – and has taken over the former Prezzo premises at Mulberry Walk.
It opens its doors to the public for the first time on Thursday, February 20. But its big opening deal comes two days later when the venue will offer free breakfasts for the first 100 people in the queue on Saturday, February 22.

Diners will be able to choose from Willow’s ‘extensive’ breakfast menu. This include’s Willow’s take on the English breakfast, The Full Willow, with Buttercross sausages, grilled bacon, a field mushroom, slow-roasted plum tomato, toasted seeded bloomer, baked beans, and eggs cooked to how you like them.
Or in keeping with the restaurant’s Med-theme, visitors could try a traditional Roman pasta dish, Eggs Carbonara with poached eggs, streaky bacon, Italian hard cheese and a garlic glaze served on chargrilled sourdough.
Or for the sweet-toothed there’s buttermilk pancakes with vanilla mascarpone, blueberry compote and maple syrup.
There is also a ‘Piccolo’ menu with lighter options including breakfast sandwiches and pastries baked fresh daily.
Joe Hopkins, general manager at Willow, Mere Green, said: “We’re thrilled to bring a taste of the Med to Mere Green. Willow offers a warm, welcoming space where guests can enjoy authentic flavours, handcrafted cocktails, and a vibrant atmosphere that captures the essence of Mediterranean dining.
“Following the official opening we want to do something extra special to introduce ourselves to the community.
“What better way than to offer the chance to try our breakfast menu totally free of charge.
“We encourage everyone to arrive early on Saturday for a chance to be among the first 100 guests to secure a table.”

The venue opens at 9am – but you may need to queue a little earlier to get one of the 100 lucky tickets and a free brekkie.
The restaurant will also offer a big all-day dining menu including traditional Sunday Roasts ‘with a Mediterranean flair’. And in the warmer months there’s an outdoor terrace.
The venue plans to host weekly acoustic sessions every Friday from 7pm to 10pm featuring local musicians.
