On one single road in the area, a total of 12 drivers were issued with tickets for causing gridlock through their bad parking.

West Midlands Police said: “Our neighbourhood teams across Birmingham have been out and about dealing with issues that matter to local residents. We know vehicle crime is a concern, and our neighbourhood teams are tackling it head-on alongside specialist officers.

“Police Community Support Officers with the South Yardley team helped find a stolen vehicle, which has been recovered and will be returned to its owner. Over in Hodge Hill, neighbourhood officers were out on patrol when they found a stolen vehicle which had been linked to other crimes. That has also now been recovered.
